1.Copying is ok to do in art as long as your just copying the others persons work for inspiration, meaning make sure there are big differences between them, and most of the artwork and colors are from your own ideas.

In this project i used my own ideas by using multiple colors in the pineapple. For inspiration I just used different pictures for color and shape ideas.
For this limitation project, I decided to only use words from newspapers. Some problems that I had were trying to find good words to use, and having to cut out many tiny words from the newspaper, which takes a long time. My final piece should turn out pretty cool, having a lot of words and phrases forming a horses face.
I used my own unique ideas in this project by creating the shape of the horses head and the details with darker and lighter words. I used The dark bold words for the shadows in the nose and ears and the used light smaller words for the parts that were being hit by light. I found this project difficult in some parts like the hair and trying to make it look thicker and wavy. And it was hard to find the right sized words to fit the shape of the horses face.
This art project is collaborating a cow this is half flesh and the other half bone with a cat that is also half skin and the other half bone. I'm collaborating with sidney and my job is to create the cow. The final piece will look half water colored and the other half will be drawn. The part of the animal with the skin will be painted with watercolors and the bones will be drawn.

Final Exam
1. In the beginning of the year in art, I wrote that art was taking your imagination and putting it into a picture, making it however you wanted. At the end of the year I said that art was taking your ideas that inspire you and creating something out of it with those ideas. And to show others how you feel or express yourself through your art. At the beginning I just believed that designing art was pretty much taking an idea and making something out of it, instead of at the end of the art where to me there was more to art than just coming up with an idea and putting it down on paper. I had learned that there was more meaning to art than I thought, art is an important part of you or your life that you wish to express through artistic creations to display for other people to enjoy. In this picture I put my own ideas and created a color strip through the black and white picture. 2. For listing some reasons that an artist would need to use observation when making artwork at the beginning of the year, I wrote that an artist would need to use observation to create their art so that they could add important detail. At the end of art I said that some reasons an artist would use observation is that it helps guide them if they don't know where to start their projects. And it allows you to observe things they might have trouble with while creating their artwork. At the beginning because I had not have had much art learning I believed that observation was to just look at a piece of artwork and then come up with your own. At the end of the year I had learned that it was more than just looking at someone's piece and then making your own, it was looking closely at the tiny important details, and all of a painting or picture's colors and textures. Looking at the smaller shapes and details would help with how to add to your own art to make is stand out more and add realistic features to it. In the second picture I had some trouble with where to put the words to fit the shape of the horses face. I had to observe a picture of a real horses head to see where to put the strips, which helped to make more of a horse figure. 3. Is copying always plagiarism? At the beginning of art, I believed that copying was always plagiarism because you are taking someones creation that they came up with and using it to make a similar piece of art and calling it your own idea. At the end of the year I had said that copying was not always plagiarism, because you can use their work as inspiration for your own without stealing their art. I had thought that you couldn't use others art, or things from it without it being considered copying. Towards the end of art, I learned that you could use other artist's work to get inspiration without it being called copying. You are just using their ideas to come up with some similar ideas. In the third picture I created this idea from looking at another similar picture of a horse with half of it bones and the other half skeleton. But I only used that person's picture as inspiration to create my picture. 4. What is artistic style? I wrote that artistic style was what ever the artist wanted to make. By the end of the year I said that artist style was the style of a particular artist or school or movement. It could be how an artist paints, draws, sketches or builds their own creations the way they want it. Instead of it being just a picture, it is their own special details in their pieces. The artistic style That in this picture is watercolor and bright colors. |
